Calinpay-C is an extended vending module of Calinpay-U, using cellphone communication to vend electricity and water or gas. For the consumers, it is a convenient access to top-up purchase with no limit by physical point-of-sale office hours. They just purchase a scratch power card from closest vendor or peddlor, scratch to get a voucher number, text the number with meter serial number to a designated service provider number, a SMS message will return with the top-up token contained with the said value on the card. The voucher number on the card are generated by STS encryption of local SGC code. It is unique and therefore can not be forged.

Scratch card system provides prepayment vending solution for areas with GSM coverage, where no online vending units are available.

For the utility it reduces the vending cost and for the vendor no hardware or POS investment is needed. This system entitled the utility to sub-distribute scratch card tokens to approved retailers, and retailers to vendors as well, allowing regulated percentage of commission put on the card price, creating job opportunities for disadvantaged people.
